CRP HAYING AND GRAZING
The 2018 Farm Bill provides greater flexibility for haying and grazing on acres enrolled in CRP. All CRP practices, excluding trees and food plots, are now eligible for non-emergency haying or grazing with a 25% reduction in payment on the acres hayed or grazed. Before contract acres are hayed or grazed, CRP participants must contact the office and file necessary forms.
CRP participants must contact the FSA Office PRIOR to performing haying and grazing, to complete a modified conservation plan, and terms and conditions. The acres hayed or grazed will be assessed a payment reduction equivalent to 25 percent of the CRP annual rental rate. Haying may be completed from August 2nd through September 1st. Participants who hay or graze without approval or fail to follow the provisions will be subject to non-compliance provisions including possible termination of the contract. Haying is limited to 1 cutting and all bales must be removed by September 10, 2020. Please contact the office for more information.
MILLET CONVERSION FOR CFAP PROGRAM
If you had Millet planted in 2019 and applied for the CFAP program and we did not have the conversion factor at time of application, it is now available and you can apply. Contact the office for more information, Deadline is August 28, 2020
