The Corson, Dewey, Meade, Perkins,  Ziebach County FSA offices would like to keep you informed of the following items important to USDA programs.  If you have any questions, please contact the following offices at:

FSA County Offices are open for business by Phone Appointment Only!  The service center remains closed for visitors, but we will continue to work with producers by Phone and Digital Tools Like Microsoft Teams, Box and One Span and emails. 

DATES TO REMEMBER:

NOTICE OF LOSS:  REPORT LOSS WITHIN 15 DAYS OF OCCURRENCE ALL CROPS AND GRASSES

LIVESTOCK LOSSES:  FILE NOTICE OF LOSS THE EARLIER OF 30 CALENDAR DAYS OF WHEN THE LOSS WAS APPARENT  

August 31, 2021 – Final day of 2021 CRP Non-emergency and emergency haying and grazing. 

September 6, 2021 – Service Center Closed in observance of Labor Day

September 15, 2021 – CRP Non-Emergency hay bales must be removed

September 30, 2021 – CRP Emergency Haying Deadline

October 15, 2021 CRP Emergency Hay bales must be removed

January 30, 2022 – Livestock Forage Program Signup Ends

Livestock Forage Program (LFP)

LFP provides compensation if you suffer grazing losses for covered livestock due to drought on privately owned or cash leased land or fire on federally managed land.   Contact your local FSA office to start the application process.

Emergency Livestock Assistance Program (ELAP)

ELAP provides assistance to producers that incurred additional costs for transporting water to livestock due to an eligible drought.  You will need to provide documentation that shows the method used to transport water, number of gallons hauled, and the number of eligible livestock that you hauled water to.

Noninsured Disaster Assistance Program (NAP)

Producers with NAP must file a Notice of Loss within 15 days of the occurrence of the disaster or when losses become apparent.  CALL THE OFFICE BEFORE YOU GRAZE YOUR HAY GROUND. Also, producers must report their 2021 NAP production by July 15, 2022.
