Tribal Ventures’ announces new grants available

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Ventures has $50,000 in Community Development Grants available for communities to improve community assets and infrastructure.

Tribal Ventures will begin accepting proposals from community-based groups on May 1, 2016. Subsequent deadlines will be the 1st and 15th of every month through August 15, 2016 or until all grants have been awarded. All projects need to be completed by September 1, 2016.

“We are pleased to offer Mini-Grants up to $1,000 to community and informal groups, and Seed Grants up to $5,000 for non-profit organizations,” said Mona Dunsmore, Community Engagement Specialist. “Tribal Ventures would act as a fiscal agent for non-formalized groups. Non-profits with proven accountability could receive funds directly.”

Priority will be given to proposals demonstrating building community assets or infrastructure, partnering to use resources, talents and skills wisely for the greatest good, and projects that promote diverse community involvement and collaboration.

Please call Tribal Ventures at 605-964-2016 and ask for Mona for more information about applying.
