Tigers fall short to McIntosh; Lady Tigers come out on top

The boys’ game was quite the night of excitement. During the first half, Dupree was ahead and then McIntosh just kept creeping up the score until they were going shot for shot.

By the fourth quarter, three of Dupree’s players, which they have only seven this year, had fouled out and a fourth had been cut in the lip quite badly.

So, when they went into overtime, with a tie of 53 points, Dupree had only three players left to go onto the floor and play against McIntosh. In the later portion of the overtime, Bennett Brooks, who had been cut in the lip, rejoined the skeletal crew though.

However, in the end, despite giving it all they had during the game, Dupree Tigers came up short and the game ended at 55 to 61 in favor of McIntosh.

At the buzzer of the girls’ varsity game, which like the boys game was close and shot for shot into the fourth quarter, Dupree won with a final score of 44 to 38.
