Third graders rack up AR points to earn class parties

Third grade students have been busy reading and taking AR tests. The tests ask comprehension questions. In order to go to the party, students must have at least 10 AR points at 80%. Most books are worth 0.5 points. The theme of the first party was Rock and Roll. Here are the students that made it to the party.

John Chapman was born on September 26, 1774 in Leominster, Massachusetts. He was more commonly known as Johnny Appleseed. After Mrs. Dupris’ and Mrs. Willison’s third grade classes read about Johnny Appleseed, they made homemade applesauce. The students really enjoyed peeling the apples and smelling them cook for most of the day.
