Sioux YMCA prepares meal for Bigfoot riders and Green Grass community

On Tuesday, December 18 the Sioux YMCA travelled to Green Grass to meet up with participants of the Chief Big Foot Band Memorial Ride.

The Sioux YMCA served a meal for approximately 70 riders, friends and family during their day of rest in Green Grass.

Dan Fraser and Cait McGinnis of the Sioux YMCA spent the day preparing the meal, and there was fortunately enough food left over that the riders could use it for lunch the following day.

“The Sioux YMCA is proud to serve the communities of this reservation, and it was an honor to be invited to serve a meal for the riders and other participants of this event,” Fraser said.

This was the second time this year that the Sioux YMCA has travelled to Green Grass to serve a meal for the community – an event they intend to provide monthly starting in the New Year.
