Students: What is your plan for high school math? This is a question that all South Dakota freshmen in high school need to ask themselves prior to the 2019-2020 school year. Why?
The State of South Dakota has implemented New Graduation Requirements to be in place by 2020. These new requirements have an impact on specific curriculum. Mathematics is one of the specific curriculums it has impacted. There are three tracks you can follow:
1. Base High School Diploma,
2. Advanced Endorsement
3. An Advanced Career Endorsement
It does not matter which tract you select, a high school student must complete three credits of mathematics to graduate from high school. The students at the E.A.G.L.E. Center will be offered the following courses in the math curriculum for high school students in the 2019-20 school years: General Math, Integrated Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Trigonometry. All students must complete 3 credits of high school math with Algebra I required for all students.
