Funeral services for Marian “Micki” Haines, age 73, of Faith, SD, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Faith Community Center in Faith, SD. Pastor Connie Eichinger officiated with burial in the Faith City Cemetery. Those attending were encouraged to wear masks if they were comfortable doing so, and social distancing was practiced as much as possible. The funeral service was recorded and uploaded to Micki’s obituary on our website for viewing.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Faith United Methodist Church in Faith, SD. A gathering of family and friends will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Grateful for sharing her life is her husband of 50 years Glen Haines of Faith SD, son Justin (Shara) Haines of Faith SD, daughters Alanna (Scott) Pederson of Rapid City SD, Kristi (Brian) Medrud of Faith SD; eight grandchildren, Tanner, Lenae (Rio Hulm), Allison, Morgan, Tallyn, Mason, Tayvin, and Matthew. She was looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild, a girl, Baby H, arriving in November. Also grateful for sharing her life is her lifelong best friend Judy Lemke of Lantry SD.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Gail Stambach, brother-in-law Lawrence E Woodward, brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Linda Haines and David and Tami Haines, sister-in-law Mary Lou Haines, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marian Stambach; brother, Fred Stambach; sisters, Marlene Woodward and Darlene Marple, brother-in laws Bill Marple and Alan Haines, Mother and Father-in-law Willard and Hazel Haines.
