West River Eagle

Letter to the Editor…

I went outside yesterday for my daily exercise walk to the Family Dollar Store. As I got onto the street beside Prairie Apartments, there were yellow CRST Bingo Vouchers dating back to 2007 blowing around on that street. People were picking them up, so I picked up a couple of the CRST Bingo Vouchers and hand delivered them to the Tribal Administrative Officer. I feel that the Tribal Executives should immediately organize and require all tribal employees to attend Confidentiality and Records Management class in the best interest of CRST.

CRST Personnel, Policies and Procedures Manual. Chapter One – General Provisions, Section One – Purpose –  The tribal service, so far as practicable, shall be made attractive as a career and employees shall be encouraged to render their best service to the public in return for which recognition shall be provided Annual appreciation Dinner for all tribal employees with gifts are held in December. Chapter Four – Conduct and Discipline, Section One – Causes for Disciplining Action, #10 Theft or Intentional Destruction of Tribal Property.

I’m holding the Tribal Treasurer’s Office, Tribal Controller and Contracting Officer who oversees Bingo Operations responsible for throwing tribal records into the streets of Eagle Butte, SD for the public to read and breach of confidentiality of tribal members whose names are listed with the amounts paid on those CRST Bingo Vouchers.

Sincerely,

Winona Charger
