The Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Ranchers of Harding County last Tuesday night in front of a home town crowd at the Dupree Gym.


The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 13-9 first quarter lead before, the Lady Ranchers clawed back into the game taking a one point lead into halftime.


The Lady Tigers offense exploded in the third quarter, scoring 25 points while holding Harding County to five points. As the quarter ended, the Lady Tigers held a 18 point lead.


The Lady Ranchers found a little footing in the fourth quarter but not enough as Dupree ran away with the game, winning 61-42.


Makenzie Dupree led the Lady Tigers with 17 points, while Reese Ganje finished the game with 14 and led the Lady Tigers with seven rebounds.


Brianna Williams led Harding County with 14 points.


The night before, the Lady Tigers defeated Takini 68-17. Bailee Birkeland led Dupree with 11 points, closely followed by Makenzie Dupree with 10 points. Mia Paris finished with nine points, while Aubree Stevens and Reese Ganje each finished with eight points. 


The Lady Tigers have two more games in the regular season.  Rapid City Christian comes to town on Thursday night while the Lady Tigers will travel to Wakpala on Friday for the final game of the season before district play begins next week.


The Lady Tigers are currently fourth in District 15B.
