The third annual Hero Award was presented to Randy Peacock at the C-EB fifth and sixth grade Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 8.
Principal Cora Petersen spoke about Peacock’s career at C-EB, and the daily positive impact he has on students and everyone around him.
“This year’s hero is someone who is no stranger in our school system…this is his thirty-ninth year of being there for all of us — picking up after the students, teachers, and everyone who visits our wonderful facility. This man is a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, as well as the hundreds of students he sees every day,” Peterson said
C-EB fifth graders recognized that although over the last several years, Peacock faced many obstacles in his life, he never gave up.
For this, and countless other reasons, Peacock was named this year’s Hero Award recipient and was presented with a plaque in front of a packed gymnasium, with many of his family members present.
A fun fact about Peacock: he loves the song, “Puff the Magic Dragon” and likes to stop to listen whenever he hears students singing it in music class.
