Dupree Pioneer Days Parade 2016 – It’s a Family Tradition

Hey, everybody!  We’d like to have a lot of entries in the Dupree Pioneer Days Parade this year.  The theme for the parade is “It’s a Family Tradition.”

The parade is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, at 10:00 a.m. with the line-up on the north end of town by the FSA building.  The line-up will continue along the Elevator Road.

There are first-place and second-place ribbons and cash prizes in the following divisions: Best Horse/ Horse-Drawn, Most Beautiful, Most Humorous, Best Youth/ 4-H, Best Native American, and Best Iron (ageless iron, derby car, classic car).

Parade entry forms may be picked up at Parade Headquarters by the FSA Building on Saturday morning at 9:15 a.m.

This year’s Parade Marshal is Evelyn Anderson, a local lady with a tradition of volunteering in the Dupree Community.

If you have questions regarding the parade please contact one of the Parade Committee members:    Kimberly Shannon, Michelle Wall, or Brittany Brooks.   It’s not too late to start a family tradition – join in the parade this year!
