Prom and Post Prom planning has begun at Dupree School. The DHS Junior Class has planned prom with the theme of “Downtown Vegas” and the post prom committee is planning a Casino Night to follow the theme. Door prizes will be drawn throughout the night and snacks will be provided.
The Dupree Community Club will once again be providing a $200 scholarship to one DHS senior, who must have taken part in the Post Prom activities and is present when the festivities conclude for the night.
The drug and alcohol free Post Prom evening is a great tradition for Dupree students, in grades 9 – 12, and their dates. Thanks to continued generosity of monetary donations and gifts this activity has been able to continue for many years. Over the years there has been good attendance by students desiring post prom fun in a safe environment. To keep the wonderful option available, the post prom planning committee is once again looking for help to continue this tradition.
Donations in the form of money or gifts for prizes are needed. Monetary donations can be sent to Kim McDaniel, PO Box 57 Lantry, SD 57636. However, donations may also be left at the Dupree School with Melissa Feickert, Dusti LaPlante, or Kim Jensen. For those from the Eagle Butte area, donations can be conveniently dropped off at the Upell Medical Clinic with Robyn DePoy.
If you have any questions, or are unable to get your donation to any of these drop off points, please feel free to call one of the committee members and they will be happy to assist you: Kim McDaniel 365-6164, Melissa Feickert 218-0223, Robyn DePoy 200-0695, Kim Jensen 200-1027, and Dusti LaPlante 365-6446. All contributions are helpful and greatly appreciated.
