Officials to be sworn in, inauguration ceremony announced

According to the Cheyenne River Tribal Chairman’s Office, newly-elected officials will be sworn in on during the Tribal Council session on December 4, at the CRST Hotel Conference Room in Eagle Butte. The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Inauguration Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 8th at the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte auditorium at 1 p.m.

Chili Cook Off in Eagle Butte

A Chili Cook Off will take place on December 7, at the Bingo Hall in Eagle Butte with a start time of 11:00 a.m. There is a $25 entry fee, and public admission is $5.00. Scholarship Night at C-EB High School

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte High School will host “Scholarship Night” on Thursday, November 29. American Indian Science and Engineering Society staff will present on scholarships and provide application tips. Snacks and door prizes will be provided. Winter Coat Drive at Tiospaye Topa

Tiospaye Topa Student Council is sponsoring a winter coat drive for families of Tiospaye Topa. Coats of any size will be excepted until November 30, and can be dropped off at Tiospaye Topa School. For more information, call 605-733-2290.

STEM Family Night in Eagle Butte

Stem Family Night for C-EB Junior High students and their families will take place on Wednesday, November 28, at C-EB Jr. High School. There will be hands-on STEM activities as well as a brief presentation from AISES. For more information, call 605-964-7841.

Raffle to benefit Tiospaye Topa students

A winter sports raffle for 10’ x 12’ storage shed is sponsored by the Tiospaye Topa student athletes. Tickets are $5 each and the drawing will be held on February 22, 2019. For more information, call 605-733-2290.
