Clinton Cully Farlee

Mass of Christian Burial for Clinton Cully Farlee, 20, of Dupree will be at 11 AM, Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Dupree School Gym. Burial will be at the Dupree Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. A prayer service will be at 6:30 PM, Wednesday at the gym. Clint passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. 

 Clinton Cully Farlee, beloved son of Shane and Kayla (McLellan) Farlee was born on August 20, 1997 in Rapid City, SD.  He grew up on the Farlee Ranch south of Dupree, SD.  Clinton was a Dupree Tiger since kindergarten.  During this time, he participated in the NWAS Spelling Bee numerous years placing in many of the contests.  He also participated in football and basketball.  Clinton enjoyed attending SD Governor’s Camp and Ambassadors for Excellence Camp.  Through these camps Clinton had the opportunity to travel to Germany and Austria.  It was at these camps that a bond was created with “Camp Mom”.  Clinton graduated from Dupree High School in May of 2015.  He was currently living in Rapid City, SD and had recently worked for Apex Custom Surfaces doing cement work. 

Clinton will forever be remembered for his kind heart and loving ways.  He truly loved his family and watched out for them always.  Clinton, like his father, had a huge passion for playing pool.  He participated in many traveling leagues.  Early on he won 1st place in the SDABA Junior Division and more recently won the 2016 SDABA team championship in the Sportsman Division. In 2017 Clinton was the B Division Singles Open 10 Ball SDABA Tournament Champion. He always enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing, camping, and working cattle on the family ranch.  A day well spent was playing a good game of cards, basketball, football, and Xbox.  He was a loyal 49ers, Celtics, Kentucky Wildcats, Oregon Ducks, and Yankees fan.  Clinton had big dreams for himself and was looking forward to the birth of his son in December.

Grateful for having shared his life are his parents Shane and Kayla (McLellan) Farlee and very special sister, Shayna Kay; girlfriend Raven Bartels-Two Hearts and their unborn son; paternal grandparents, Clinton and Jean (Miller) Farlee; maternal grandparents Dale and Terri (Vrooman) McLellan; maternal great-grandmothers Lorane (Pritzkau) McLellan and Karen (Boehrs) Vrooman; uncle Kerry (Mariah) McLellan; aunts Shelley (Rusty) Brehmer and Kathy (Shawn) Olsen; special cousins Kennedy, Klayte, Kami and Kross McLellan, Jill (Danny) Marshall, Russell Brehmer, Emily and Spencer Olsen.  Many great uncles and aunts, cousins, and special friends.  He had a bond like no other with his “Camp Mom”, Alyssa Herman.

He is preceded in death by his special uncle (Bro) Arleigh Jay McLellan; paternal great grandparents Don and Tina Farlee and Cully and Margaret Miller; maternal great grandpas Owen McLellan and LeRoy Vrooman; aunt Kristi Farlee and uncle Kent Farlee; great uncles Bob Farlee, Bob Miller and Jerry Miller and his special cousin Jessie Brehmer.
