Chairman Frazier signs proclamation: joins other leaders across the nation in National Service Recognition Day

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Chairman Harold C. Frazier is pictured signing a proclamation announcing April 3, 2018 as National Service Recognition Day on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation.

National service represents a unique public-private partnership that invests in community solutions and leverages non-federal resources to strengthen community impact and increase the return on taxpayer dollars.

The initiative is led by the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS), the National Association of Counties, the National League of Cities, and Cities of Service.

Mayors and city leaders, county officials, and tribal leaders across the country are using National Service Recognition Day in an effort to recognize the positive impact of national service, thank those who serve, and to encourage citizens to give back.
