C-EB fall sports kick off with mixed results

Last week the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves battled at home against Standing Rock volleyball and Red Cloud football teams.

While the C-EB Lady Braves walked away with a win, the boys suffered their first loss against a tough Red Cloud squad after defeating St. Francis the week before.

The Lady Braves’ volleyball team consists of a lot of seniors this year, and bring with them both their junior high and high school experience.

Senior Kipp Red Dog, number 73, blocks for number 11 Junior Ethan Ross. The Braves faced a tough defense from Red Cloud at Friday’s first home game, with 0-52 loss, a striking contrast to their 24-0 win over St. Fancis the previous week. Photos by Jody Rust

C-EB’s football team is smaller this year, both in size and numbers, and faces some tough opponents in coming weeks. Friday night, Sept 8, C-EB plays Todd County for homecoming.
