BREAKING: 2nd positive COVID-19 case on Cheyenne River Sioux reservation

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Chairman Harold Frazier announces the second case of coronavirus on the reservation Sunday, May 31.

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Chairman Harold Frazier announced the Tribe’s second positive case of COVID-19 late Sunday night. The chairman stated that CRST Field Health is conducting contact tracing and would continue to do so in the next few days.

“I want to reinforce to you not to panic or try to get tested,” Frazier said before he urged people who have medical-related questions to contact the CRST Medical Hotline at 605-964-0563.

As he did with the first coronavirus case on the reservation in April, the chairman called for unity, asking the public to come together as a family and to pray for the COVID-19 patient and their family.
