BREAKING: 15 new COVID-19 cases on CRSTFree Access

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Chairman Harold Frazier conducts daily addresses to the nation with updates about COVID-19 and the Tribe’s response plan.

CRST Chairman Harold Frazier announced that there are 15 new cases of COVID-19 on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe reservation. The new positive cases were discovered today, which brings the total number of positive cases to 27, according to the tribal leader.

With the drastic rise in cases, the chairman stated that the Tribe would be moving to Level 4 on the CRST COVID-19 Response Plan. Frazier said he will be meeting with emergency response team members and medical team tomorrow to come up with a clear path moving forward.

“We will continue to work hard to keep everybody safe,” said Frazier.

The chairman asked everyone to stay home and only do essential travel for medical reasons and to get essential supplies. He also asked everyone to wear a mask in public.

The chairman said he would have more information tomorrow during his radio address. Before ending his address, he shared a prayer song and reminded listeners that wakinyans are all around.

In closing, the Chairman Frazier asked for unity and continued prayers for the positive individuals and for the Nation as a whole during these uncertain times
