The Long Look Back premier screening in Lemmon January19-20


LEMMON, SD – The South Dakota made western The Long Look Back is having its South Dakota premier screening in Lemmon this month. Public screenings at the Palace Theatre will show on January 19th at 2:30 pm and on January 20th at 12, 12:45 and 1:30 pm. Screenings are free will donation with concessions available through the theater. The director will be available for Q & A sessions with the audience after each screening.

The Long Look Back is a short western film shot in South Dakota fall 2017 and completed in 2018. It is currently being submitted to film festivals for 2019. With cast and crew mostly from North and South Dakota,  crew from the Black Hills and Bison and some cast members from Minot and Bismarck. A majority of its funding came from many generous local businesses sponsoring the production along with individual donations and a grant from the South Dakota Arts Council. It was written, directed and produced by Corben Alley, originally from Isabel.

The Kokomo Art Gallery of John Lopez Sculptures will be open across the street during the screening dates. Donation proceeds will go towards costs of renting the theater out and film festival fees with a portion going to benefit Burt Bridges who is undergoing cancer treatments. Private screening for cast, crew, donors and business sponsors is January 19th at 1pm by invitation.
