Lantry’s Stran Smith was among the 122 team roping contestants at the South Dakota High School Rodeo Finals held in Belle Fourche June 15-18. Three locals compete at National Junior High Rodeo Finals in Tennessee



Miranda Vines of Eagle Butte along with Sidni Ferguson and Marlene Woodward of Dupree competed at the National Junior High Rodeo Finals in Lebanon, Tennessee last week. Vines qualified in Ribbon Roping and Light Rifle .22 competition.Ferguson qualified in goat tying and in barrel racing.   Woodward competed in both barrel racing and breakaway roping.

Trailer fire leaves family homeless



A trailer fire broke out at approximately 2:00 a.m. Monday morning, June 27 at the Elm Street trailer lot across from the C-EB High School and Agriculture shop.  Caitlin Turning Heart rented the trailer with her boyfriend and children.
